Open Center gives teens a safe place to go after school. Volunteers are needed to pick up teens and drop them back off between 3 and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at both the Moline Youth Center and the Rock Island Youth Center
Tutors are needed for junior high and high school students at Open Center, and after school activities on Mondays through Fridays.
YouthHope offers a spoken word poetry program on Wednesday evenings. This program gives teens an outlet to express themselves, and is held at the Rock Island Youth Center.
Bible studies are offered twice a week to teens. The groups are separated by gender and offered at both the Rock Island and Moline Youth Centers.
This mentoring program for youth teaches teens leadership skills.
YouthHope provides job training for high school teens to work at Camp Summit and encourages youth to volunteer at YouthHope activities.
Lead a group of eight students or less in a Bible study each week. Small groups are separated by gender. Groups meet at both the Moline and Rock island Youth Centers..
Work with teens one-on-one empowering youth in Christ, academics and life skills.
YouthHope offers the opportunity for teens to attend leadership conferences two to three times per year. Chaperones are always needed.
YouthHope offers teens the opportunity to visit Camp Summit, our Christian youth camp, each summer for a full week of residence camping and also in the fall, winter and spring for retreats or overnight events. Chaperones are needed.
The Rock Island Youth Center and the Moline Youth Center both have a gym where teens can play basketball, have tournaments and play other sports.
Trips may include Chicago, Wisconsin Dells and local attractions. Special activities throughout the year may include: fishing, roller skating, swimming, laser tag, bowling, mini-golf, and concerts.
YouthHope cannot empower youth through programs for youth, after school activities, tutoring and youth camps without the help of volunteers. If you are excited about the mission of YouthHope, there are many opportunities for you to volunteer!
