YouthHope operates Camp Summit, a Christian youth camp that allows low-income kids and teens to get out of their environment. Whether it is just for a day trip, a long weekend or a week, volunteers are needed to help provide this experience.
Periodic work days – We need help to maintain the groups and buildings at camp. There is a need for both skilled and unskilled laborers to help with cleaning the lodge, building maintenance, wiring, yard work and painting. Work days are usually scheduled for the spring and fall.
Camp cook – Lend your culinary gifts to Camp Summit by volunteering to cook during summer residential camp or for a retreat. Volunteers are needed one day a week during the eight-week summer camp season.
Group projects – Get a group together for a work weekend at Camp Summit. Your group can either work for one day, a weekend or an entire week. Housing may be available for groups coming to work for an extended period of time.
YouthHope cannot empower youth through programs for youth, after school activities, tutoring and youth camps without the help of volunteers. If you are excited about the mission of YouthHope, there are many opportunities for you to volunteer!
